Solution

The Organic products formed in the given reaction:

  • Here the Ethynylcyclopentane reacts with Soda amide followed by (Bromomethylene)di benzene to produce (3−Cyclopentylprop−2− yne−1,1− diyl)di benzene, which can be given as:

  • The mechanism for the reaction can be given as:

Step 1: formation of Cyclopentlethyn-1-ide:

First, Soda amide abstracts an acidic proton from Ethynylcyclopentane to form Cyclopentlethyn-1-ide.

Step 2: formation of (3−Cyclopentylprop−2−yne−1,1− diyl)di benzene :

Then the formed Cyclopentlethyn-1-ide reacts with (Bromomethylene)di benzene to obtain (3−Cyclopentylprop−2− yne−1,1− diyl)di benzene.
