Draw the following: A rectangle with adjacent sides of length 5cm and 4cm.

Step 1. Draw side AB of length 5cm.

In rectangle, opposite sides are equal.

AB=CD=5cmAD=BC=4cm

Step 2. Draw 90° from point A.

Step 3. Draw 90° from point B.

Step 4. Take 4cm as radius, and A as center and then draw an arc and mark the point where arc and line intersect as D.

Ste4 5. Take 4cm as radius, and B as center and then draw an arc and mark the point where arc and line intersect as C.

Step 6. Join CD and label the sides.

Hence, rectangle ABCD is formed with adjacent sides of length 5cm and 4cm.
