Explain the term chemosynthetic autotroph

A group of organisms, which uses inorganic molecules as a source of energy are called chemosynthetic autotrophs. The energy released during this oxidation process is utilized in synthesis of ATP molecules. They are also known as chemoautotrophs. Examples: methanogens, thermoacidophiles
