Express in the simplest form:
The given ratio is $2.5 : 5$ .
On multiplying numerator and denominator by $10$
$∴ \frac{2.5}{5} = \frac{2.5 \times 10}{5 \times 10}$
$= \frac{25}{50}$
$= \frac{1}{2}$
Hence, $2.5 : 5$ in its simplest form can be written as $1 : 2$ .
