  1. The earth takes about 24 hours (23 hours 56 minutes) to complete a single rotation around its axis.
  2. The remaining 4 minutes added up to the fourth year give a leap year. i.e February has 29 days.
  3. This period of rotation is known as the one earth day. This is known as the daily motion of the earth.
  4. Rotation is responsible to give us day and night.

Thus, the daily motion of the earth is rotational.
