Solution

Dyne

  1. A dyne is a force unit in physics defined by the centimetre-gram-second (cgs) system of units, with the sign "Dyne".
  2. One dyne is the same as 10 - 5 Newtons.
  3. The dyne can also be described as "the force necessary to accelerate a mass of one gramme at a rate of one centimetre per second squared at a rate of one centimetre per second squared."
  4. We know the force is given as,

Force=mass×acceleartion

5. Using the following relation,

1dyn=1g.cms2=10-5kg.ms2=10-5N=0.00001N

Hence, 1 Dyne = 0.00001 N.
