Find: $(\frac{2}{5}) \div 1 \frac{1}{2}$ .

Step $1$ : Convert the mixed fraction.
First, we will convert the mixed fraction into a proper fraction. That is
$1 \frac{1}{2} = 1 + \frac{1}{2}$
$= \frac{2 + 1}{2}$
$= \frac{3}{2}$
Step $2$ : Compute the value of $(\frac{2}{5}) \div 1 \frac{1}{2}$ .
Divide the given number. That is
$(\frac{2}{5}) \div 1 \frac{1}{2} = (\frac{2}{5}) \div \frac{3}{2}$
$= \frac{2}{5} \times \frac{2}{3}$ [ Taking reciprocal ]
$= \frac{4}{15}$
Hence the value of $(\frac{2}{5}) \div 1 \frac{1}{2}$ is $\frac{4}{15}$ .
