Given, $x+2x+3x=5x$

On solving L.H.S, we get,

$$\begin{gathered} =x+2x+3x \\ =6x \end{gathered}$$

But, it is given that R.H.S $=5x$

Thus, L.H .S.$\ne$ R.H.S.

So,for correct statement we need to replace $5x\text{with}6x$in RHS.

Hence, the correct statement is $\mathit{x}\mathbf{+}\mathbf{2}\mathit{x}\mathbf{+}\mathbf{3}\mathit{x}\mathbf{=}\mathbf{6}\mathit{x}$.
