Find the length of the diagonal of a rectangle whose length is 15cm and breadth is 8cm.

Calculate the length of diagonal using Pythagoras theorem.

As we know, the length of diagonal of a rectangle =l2+b2.

where l is length and b is breadth.

Given, length and breadth of the rectangle are 15cm and 8cm respectively.

Substitute the given lengths and breadths of the rectangle.

So, the length of diagonal

=152+82=225+64=289=17cm

Hence, the length of the diagonal is 17cm.
