Find the length of the diagonal of a rectangle whose sides are 6cm and 4cm.

Calculate the length of diagonal using Pythagoras theorem.

As we know, length of diagonal of a rectangle =l2+b2.

where l is length and b is breadth of rectangle.

The length and breadth of the rectangle are 6cm and 4cm respectively.

Substituting the given dimensions of length and breadth in the above expression.

Length of diagonal is,

=62+42=36+16=52cm

Hence, the length of the diagonal is 52cm.
