Find the L.S.A, T.S.A and volume of a cube of side 5cm.

Open in App
Solution

Step 1: Compute the L.S.A.

We know that for a cube of say side a=5cm, the lateral surface area is 4a2.

4a2=452=100cm2

Step 2: Compute the T.S.A.

The total surface area is 6a2.

6a2=652=150cm2

Step 3: Compute the volume of the given cube.

The volume of cube is a3

a3=53=125cm3

Hence, the LSA, TSA and volume of the cube are 100cm2,150cm2,and 125cm3 respectively.
