Finding the value of $x,y,$ and $z$:

Here, $\angle z=40°$, because vertically opposite angles.

$\angle y+\angle z=180°$ , linear pair

Substituting the value of $z$ we get,

$$\begin{gathered} \Rightarrow \angle y+40°=180° \\ \Rightarrow \angle y=180°-40° \\ \Rightarrow \angle y=140° \end{gathered}$$

Then, $40°+\angle x+25°=180°$ , angles on straight line

$$\begin{gathered} \Rightarrow 65°+\angle x=180° \\ \Rightarrow \angle x=180°-65° \\ \Rightarrow \angle x=115° \end{gathered}$$

Hence, the value of $x$ is $115°$ , $y$ is $140°$ and $z$ is $40°$.
