Solution

The correct option is C

1,22,400

Solve for the money left with Gayatri

Given,

  1. Gayatri’s income per year is 1,60,000
  2. Amount paid for house rent is 15% of income
  3. Amount paid for child education is 10% of (income -house rent)

Amount paid for house rent =15100×1,60,000=24,000

Amount paid for child education =10100×1,60,000-24,000=10100×1,36,000=13,600

Money left with Gayatri =Income-(house rent + child's education)

=1,60,000-24,000+13,600=1,60,000-37,600=1,22,400

Hence, the amount left with Gayatri is 1,22,400
