3. An improper fraction is a fraction whose numerator is equal to or greater than its denominator such as $\frac{4}{3}$, $\frac{7}{6}$ etc.

Hence, $\frac{4}{3}$ and $\frac{7}{6}$ are examples of improper fraction.
