Solution

Dry Cell:

  1. A dry cell is an electric battery that is often used in portable electronic gadgets. Unlike wet cell batteries, which utilize a liquid electrolyte, dry cell batteries utilize a paste electrolyte, which is less susceptible to leaking.
  2. Graphite is a nonmetal that can conduct electricity and is noncorrosive.
  3. It's inexpensive and resistant to water, acids, and bases.
  4. It is unaffected by the presence of electrolytes in the cell.

Therefore, electrodes of dry cells are made of graphite.
