Solution

Mechanics

  1. Mechanics is the branch of science concerned with the movement of bodies under the influence of forces, with the exception of the rare scenario in which a body remains perfectly still.
  2. Classical mechanics, quantum mechanics, and relativistic mechanics are the three forms of mechanics.

Classical Mechanics

  1. Classical mechanics is the discipline of physics concerned with the description and explanation of the motion of point-like, extended stuff, and deformable objects immersed in a three-dimensional Euclidean space.
  2. It makes use of broad concepts about how matter and forces exist and interact. It acknowledges that matter and energy have distinct, observable properties.
  3. Kinematics is a branch of mechanics that focuses solely on the geometrical explanation of motion, such as Galileo's laws of falling bodies or Kepler's laws of planetary motion.
  4. Dynamics refers to the portion of motion that contains a causal explanation and description, such as the application of Newton's equations of motion, Newton's laws of gravitation, and so on.
