Solution

Coordinate bond compounds:

  • A coordinate bond is one type of covalent bond in which the bond forms due to sharing of electron pairs from one atom to another so both of them can complete their octet.
  • Here the shared electron pair is donated by one single atom entirely.
  • This type of bond is also called a dative bond or dipolar bond.
  • Examples are ammonium boron Trifluoride(NH3BF3), Ammonium ion(NH4+), Hydronium ion(H3O+), etc.

Hence, two examples of, coordinate bond compounds: ammonium Boron Trifluoride(NH3BF3), and Ammonium ion(NH4+).
