Solution

Step 1: Find the H.C.F.

Use prime factorisation

50=2×5×530=2×3×5

The common factor of 30 and 50 are 2 and 5

So, H.C.F. =2×5

=10

Step 2: Find the L.C.M.

L.C.M. can be obtained by prime factorising 30and 50 so,

230,50315,2555,2551,51,1

L.C.M.=2×3×5×5=150

Hence, the L.C.M. and H.C.F. of 30 and 50 are 150 and 10 respectively.
