  1. General growth is whole-body growth i.e. a positive change in the body.
  2. It includes height, physical size, weight, and change in shape and size of the body.
  3. Sexual Maturation refers to the changes in a human body when he/she reaches puberty.
  4. There are various types of change in both males and females in the body.
  5. Sexual maturation is specific to changes reflected at puberty like change in voice, hair growth in the arm pits and the gonads, development of moustaches and beard in adolescent boys while development of breast in adolescent girls etc.
