Open in App
Solution

Factorize using the algebraic identities

According to the identity of difference of two squares,

a2-b2=(a-b)(a+b)

The given expression is x2-y2.

It can be factorized as follows,

x2-y2=x2-y2

x2-y2=x-yx+y

Hence, the factors of x2-y2 obtained by using algebraic identity is x-yx+y.
