How do you find the value of cos (pi)/6?

we have to find the value of cos(pi/6)

Solution

We know that pi=180 degrees

From the trigonometry table, some degree values of sine functions and cosine functions are used to find the value of cos 30.

We know that

90° – 60° = 30° ———– (1)

From the trigonometry formula,

sin (90° – a) = cos a

We can write,

Sin (90° – 30°) = cos 30°

Sin 60° = cos 30° ——(2)

We know that the value of sin 60 degrees is √3/2

Now substitute the value in (2)

√3/2 = cos 30°

Therefore, the value of cos 30 degrees is √3/2

Cos 30° =√3/2

Hence cos (pi/6) = √3/2

Answer

cos (pi/6) = √3/2
