Solution

Magnetic field due to electric current: A current-carrying wire will produce a magnetic field as the charges inside the conductor are moving.

  1. Electric bell is made of a simple circuit whose purpose is to ring when a button is pressed.
  2. It is based on the principle of electromagnetism.
  3. The current flows through the circuit when the button is pressed.
  4. This circuit contains an electromagnet which is charged when the current starts flowing.
  5. The electromagnet then generates a magnetic field that attracts the iron strip towards it.
  6. The strip will strike the bell and makes it ring.
  7. When the strip is striking, it breaks the circuit.
  8. When the circuit gets broken, the strip will go back to its original place.
  9. This process occurs every time a bell is rung.
