Solution

Water pollution:

Water pollution occurs when there is an increase in the number of pollutants and other dangerous chemicals in the water.

Impact of water pollution on aquatic life:

  1. A high concentration of nutrients and organic materials will deplete the oxygen in the water, causing suffocation in the fish.
  2. Acid rain caused by the accumulation of toxic acids such as sulfates and nitrates will also impact the marine or aquatic environment residing in the ocean, sea, rivers, or lakes, resulting in the death of the creature.
  3. Increased sewage water collection or discharge in water bodies will result in a huge volume of algae bloom, causing dead zones for aquatic animals and contributing to the eutrophication process.
  4. This dead zone will result in a place where there is no oxygen, making life unable to live.
