Calculation of red blood cell count:

  1. The red blood cell counting is done with the help of an instrument known as a haemocytometer.

  3. It is a counting chamber device.
  4. It is a device that comprises of thick glass microscopic slide that is attached to a rectangular indentation that actually creates a chamber.
  5. Due to the presence of laser-etched perpendicular lines, it is possible to count the number of cells in a specific volume of fluid.
