Now to convert an improper fraction to mixed fraction, first divide its numerator by the denominator.

Then, write the quotient of the division as the whole number of the mixed fraction and the remainder of the division as the numerator with the same denominator of the improper fraction.

For example: Convert $\frac{17}{2}$to mixed fraction.

First divide $17$ by $2$, we get;

Here, the quotient $=8$ and remainder $=1$
