Find the divisor of a number:

A number that divides another number with or without leaving a remainder is called a divisor.

Divisor = Dividend ÷Quotient , if Remainder =0

Divisor = (Dividend -Remainder) ÷Quotient, Remainder0

Example: Find a divisor if the dividend is 48 and the quotient is 6.

Solution: Dividend =48 and Quotient =6

Divisor =Dividend ÷Question

Divisor=48÷6

Divisor =8

Therefore, the divisor of a number is given by the Divisor =Dividend ÷Question.
