Describe the use of the properties of rational numbers:
The commutative property for addition, subtraction, and multiplication of rational numbers.
Addition: If any two numbers are added for example $a$ and $b$ the $a + b = b + a$
So addition is the commutative property for rational numbers.
Subtraction: If any two numbers are subtracted for example $a$ and $b$ the $a - b \neq b - a$
So subtraction is not the commutative property for rational numbers.
Multiplication: If any two numbers are multiplied for example $a$ and $b$ the $a \times b = b \times a$
So multiplication is the commutative property for rational numbers.
Hence, the properties of rational numbers can be used for addition, multiplication, and subtraction of rational numbers.
