  • The main non-metals used in crackers are : Sulphur and Phosphorus.
  • The gunpowder mainly consists of 75% of the Potassium Nitrate, 15% of the charcoal, and 10% of Sulfur.
  • Phosphorus burns very quickly in the air and hence results in creating glowing in the darkness.
  • Whereas, Potassium is mostly used for the oxidation of Fireworks.
