Question

Mention the S.I unit for molar conductivity.

Open in App
Solution

S.I Unit:

  1. It is basically a scientific method which is used for the expressing of magnitudes as well as the quantities.
  2. Molar conductivity is actually the conductivity of the electrolyte solution which is divided by the molar concentration of the electrolyte which actually measures the efficiency with which the given electrolyte will conduct the electricity in the solution.
  3. So, Molarconductivity=ConductivityofelectrolyticsolutionMolarconcentrationofelectrolyte
  4. Hence S.I unit of Molar conductivity: S.m3m1.mol1=S.m2.mol-1

Therefore, S.I unit for molar conductivity: S.m2.mol-1.
