(ii) shaving mirrors.

List two reasons to justify your answers in each case.

(i) Convex mirror is used as rear view mirrors because-

1. They form virtual and erect images full size diminished image of distant objects.
2. They had a larger view field area as they are curved outside.

(ii) Concave mirror is used as shaving mirrors because-

1. The image produced by the concave mirror is magnified which enables a person to see minute details.
2. It forms a virtual and erect image when the face is close to the mirror.

Hence, Convex mirror is used as rear view mirrors and Concave mirror is used as shaving mirrors.
