Solution

Paddy Crop

  1. Paddy, also known as a rice paddy, is a small, level field that has been flooded and is used to grow rice in southern and eastern Asia.
  2. The most common farming practice in the Far East is wet-rice production, which only uses a small portion of the available area but feeds the majority of the rural people.

(a) Season paddy cultivated

  1. In the rainy season, paddy is grown as a Kharif crop.
  2. In various regions of the nation, Kharif crops are planted as the monsoon season begins, and they are harvested between September and October.

(b) Method of sowing

  1. Paddy seeds are first raised in the nursery for sowing, and then the seedlings are moved into the fields.
  2. This procedure aids in the selection of healthy and superior seedlings for cultivation to produce crops of high quality.

(c) Prevention of spoilage

  1. The grains are harvested and then dried outside in the sun to remove the moisture.
  2. To stave off insect infestation, add dried neem leaves to grains that are being kept.
  3. To stop rodents or insects from attacking, we can periodically spray rodenticides or insecticides.
  4. By doing this, we can guard against grain deterioration and insect attack.
