Solution

Part of the apple eaten by Ritu is = 35

Part of apple eaten by Somu is = 1– Part of the apple eaten by Ritu

=135

Converting the given fraction into an equivalent fraction having10 as the denominator.

=[(11)×(55)][(35)×(11)]=(55)(35)=(53)5=25

∴ Part of the apple eaten by Somu is25

So, (35)>(25)

Hence, Ritu ate a larger size of an apple.

The difference between the32 shares=(35)(25)

=(32)5=15

Ritu’s share is larger than the share of Somu by (15)
