Given : Number of onions cut by Sita in $10min=8$

Number of onions cut by Jyoti in$5min=6$

So, Number of onions cut by Sita in $1min=\frac{8}{10}$

Number of onions cut by Jyoti in $1min=\frac{6}{5}$

Number of onions cut by them together in $1min=\frac{8}{10}+\frac{6}{5}$

$$\begin{gathered} =\frac{4}{5}+\frac{6}{5} \\ =\frac{4+6}{5} \\ =\frac{10}{5} \\ =2 \end{gathered}$$

So time taken to cut $24$ onions $=\frac{24}{2}=12min$

Hence, the time will they take to cut $24$ onions together is $12min$
