Solve: 3x+4y=25,5x-6y=-9 by elemination method.

Given :

3x+4y=25..(1)5x6y=-9(2)

Multiplying equation (1) by 3 and equation (2) by 2

9x+12y=75.(3)10x12y=-18..(4)

On solving equations (3)and (4), we get,

19x=57x=57/19x=3

Now,

Substitutex=3in equation (2)

5(3)6y=-9156y=-96y=15+96y=24y=24/6y=4

Therefore, x=3 and y=4
