How silk fibre is made?

Silk:

  1. It is a natural fibre produced by insects as a material for nests and cocoons.
  2. Silk is obtained from silk moth cocoons.
  3. The silk moth eats the leaves of the mulberry tree. Each worm rotates a continuous thread up to 800 meters in length into the cocoon.
  4. Cocoons are kept in the sun, boiled, or exposed to steam. Silk fibres are separated from the cocoons by a special machine. This process is called silk winding. Finally, silk fibres are obtained.
  5. Silk is a natural fibre obtained from silkworms through a long process.
