We know that,
$A v e r a g e a g e = \frac{t o t a l a g e s}{t o t a l n u m b e r o f p e r s o n} \Rightarrow t o t a l a g e = (A v e r a g e a g e \times n u m b e r o f p e r s o n)$
So,
Total age of two boys $= 9 \times 2 = 18 y e a r s$
If age of the mother is included the average age $= 9 + 9 = 18 y e a r s$
Total age of mother and two brothers $= 18 \times 3 = 54 y e a r s$
So,
The age of the mother $= 54 - 18 = 36 y e a r s$
Hence, the age of the mother is $36 y e a r s$ .
