The circumference of a circle is 31.4cm. Find the radius and the area of the circle? (Take π=3.14)

Step 1: Find the radius of the circle.

Given : Circumference of a circle =31.4cm

Circumference of a circle =2πr

31.4=2×3.14×r

31.4=6.28×r

r=31.46.28

r=5cm

Step 2: Find the area of the circle.

Area of the circle =πr2

=3.14×52

=3.14×25

=78.5cm2

Therefore, area of a circle is 78.5cm2and radius of circle is 5cm.
