The circumference of the base of a cylindrical vessel is 132cm and its height is 25cm (use π=227) . Find the i Radius of the cylinder

ii Volume of cylinder

Solution

Step-1 Radius of cylinder :

Let us consider

The radius of the cylinder =r

Height of the cylinder =h=25cm

Circumference of the cylinder =132cm

i Circumference of the cylinder =2πr

132=2×3.14×rr=1326.29=20.99cm=21cm

Step-2 Volume of cylinder:

ii Volume of the cylinder =πr2h

Volume of the cylinder =3.14×21×21×25

Volume of the cylinder =34618.5cm2

Hence, radius of the cylinder is 21cm and volume of the cylinder 34618.5cm2
