The height of a parallelogram is one third of its base. If the area of the parallelogram is 192cm2, find its height and base.

Let the base bexcm.

Height=13xcm.

Step 2

AreaofParallelogram=BaseXHeightBase×Height=192x×13x=19213x2=192x2=192×3x2=576x=576x=24cm

Base =x=24cm

And Height=13x=13×24

Height=8cm

Hence, Base =24cm and height =8cm
