Solution

The correct option is B

Concave Mirror:

  1. When a hollow sphere is cut into multiple parts and the outer surface of the cut part of the hollow sphere is painted, then it becomes a mirror with its inner surface that acts as the reflecting surface. This is a concave mirror.
  2. Concave mirror has a converging surface. Light converges at a point on the same side or the opposite side of the mirror, when it strikes and reflects back from the reflecting surface of the concave mirror. Hence, it is a converging mirror.
  3. A situation in which the concave mirror is placed very close to the object, we get a magnified, erect and virtual image.
  4. If we increase the distance between the object and the mirror then the size of the image reduces and a real and inverted image is formed.
  5. The image formed by the concave mirror can be either small or large and can also be either real or virtual.

Concave mirror as an ENT mirror:

  1. When an object is placed between the principle focus and the pole of the mirror, the image will be virtual, erect and magnified.
  2. An ENT mirror uses this property to magnify the image for a doctor.
