  1. The potassium sulphate dodecahydrate is chemically known as potash alum and is used extensively.

  4. Potash alum has the chemical formula K2SO4.Al2(SO4)3.24H2O.
  5. Fitkari is another name for it that is frequently used.
  6. Due to its acidic nature, potash alum may turn blue litmus paper red. Potash alum has an astringent flavour.

Uses:
