The sum of two opposite angles of a quadrilateral is 1720. The other two angles of the quadrilateral are equal. Find the equal angles.

Solution:

We know the sum of all the angles of a quadrilateral is 3600.

Given the sum of two opposite angles of a quadrilateral = 1720.

Let x be the measurement of equal angle.

So x+x+172 = 360

=> 2x = 360 – 172

= 188

=> x = 188/2

= 940

Therefore the equal angles are 940 each.
