The supplement of a right angle is always _________ angle.

Open in App
Solution

Any two angles whose sum is 180 degrees are called supplementary angles.

If x,y are supplementary angles then x+y=180 degrees .

So we get, y=180-x ( Here, y is called supplement of x )

or

x=180-y ( Here, x is called supplement of y )

Therefore,

Supplementary of right angle i.e., Supplementary of 90 degrees =18090=90 degrees.

Therefore, the Supplement of right angle is always a right angle.
