Question

Trick to remember reactivity series of metals.

Open in App
Solution

Reactivity series

  • The reactivity series is a series that is created in a specific order to position the different metals of the periodic table in order of their reactivity to participate in any chemical reaction.
  • If metal is extremely reactive in series, it will quickly lose electrons to form its positive ion.
  • Highly reactive elements should always be put at the top of the series, whereas metals with the lowest reactivity should be placed at the bottom.

Trick to remember reactivity series of metals

  • The periodic table has a significant number of elements, around 95 of which have metallic properties.
  • The primary method for learning the reactivity series is to divide the elements into groups and then use mnemonics for each one.
