Question

Two conductors having the same type of charges are connected by a conducting wire. There would not be any amount of flow of charges on them if?

Solution

  1. Current flows through a conductor when there is some potential difference across it which set the electric field and helps the charge flow.
  2. Now when we connect two conductors having the same type of charge, there will be no current flow if they are at the same potential.

Hence, there would not be any amount of flow of charges on the two conductors having the same type of charges that are connected by a conducting wire, if they have the same potential.
