Heat can be transferred in three ways:

• Conduction
• Convection
• Radiation

Convection:

• The heat transfer that takes place between the physical movement of fluid (gas/liquid) from one place to another.
• Example: Steaming cup of hot tea.

Conduction:

• It is a process in which heat energy is transmitted through collisions between neighbouring atoms/molecules.
• Example: Touching a hot seatbelt when you get into a car.

Radiation:

• It is a type of heat energy that comes from a source and travels through space.
• Example: A burning candle emits radiation in the form of heat and light.
