Solution

Implantation:

  1. An embryo is the first stage of a multicellular organism's development.
  2. Implantation is the process in which the embryo will get attached to the endometrium of the uterus.

Changes observed in the uterus after implantation:

  1. To support the developing embryo, the uterine lining thickens.
  2. The uterine lining is densely packed with blood vessels, allowing the developing fetus to get nourishment and oxygen.
  3. The placenta, a new unique tissue that connects the embryo to the uterine wall and supplies nourishment and oxygen to the embryo, is formed.
