Endosymbiont, also referred as endobiont. It refers to an organism living within the body or within the cells of another organism in a mutualistic relationship. Some Endosymbiont are found either inside cells or attached to the surface of cells. These organisms form a symbiotic relationship in which both organisms benefit.
An example of a beneficial relationship between a host and an endosymbiont is found in the roots of legume plants and rhizobia bacteria.
