What is an ore?

Ores are a mixture of minerals: processed to produce an industrial mineral or chemically treated to produce one or more metals. The steel, aluminum, chromium, zinc, mercury, manganese, tungsten, and some copper ores are typically processed for just one element.

Before being treated with chemical methods to recover metals, Ores undergo a process of physical methods of benefit. Benefit processes involve the release of minerals by crushing and grinding, then physical methods like gravity, magnetic, etc. or physicochemical methods separating the individual mineral.

Gold ores can only produce gold, but silver is a common partner. Nickel ores are always associated with cobalt, whereas the ores are always associated with lead and zinc. All other minerals are complex and produce a number of metals.
