Open in App
Solution

The terms methylcobalamin and mecobalamin are interchangeable. The extended version of mecobalamin is methylcobalamin. Vitamin B 12 is known by its scientific name. The cobalt in both of them has a methyl group connected to it. A cyano group is connected to the cobalamin in cyanocobalamin. Vitamin B12 deficiency causes disorders such as pernicious anaemia, Crohn’s disease, and atrophic gastritis.
